Mixing Phyllobates with Epipedobates

Hello peeps. I'm new to Dendroboard, Having done some research and watching a ton of videos, I understand that mixing frogs is frowned upon for a couple of reasons but I was wondering if a mixed species tank would work? Specifically I am planning to house a pair of Phyllobates terribilis 'Orange Black Foot' with 4-5 Epipedobates anthonyi 'Santa Isabel'. Will these 2 species get along or is it going to be a disaster waiting to happen: fighting/ disease/ Phyllobates eating the smaller Epipedobates and their froglets?

The only reason I'm planning to do this is that I live in a small apartment and do not wish to have multiple vivariums. I hope experienced keepers can provide some insight or advice. Is this doable or just a pipe dream? Many thanks- Henry.

What @fishingguy12345 said. My terribilis occasionally try to eat me. I'm not even joking, they attack.

They often go into a feeding frenzy, and will charge each other and even (lightly) bite each other on the face or wrestle over food.

I don't think they would recognize a different genus as a frog to wrestle with (that's more of a ritualistic thing amongst themselves), but they will out-compete and stress them out if not outright try to eat them. I can't imagine it going well. And just when you think it's going well you'll find a terribilis with frog legs hanging out of its mouth.

Hi Fahad. I was deceived by their froggy cuteness. Since they're little savage beasts. I guess I will have to decide which one species to keep. Thanks for making me laugh, love and appreciate your sense of humor. And thanks to the administrators for pointing me in the right direction.

Please read the stickied thread fishingguy linked, and after that please use the search tool. There is MUCH more that can be said on the matter than anyone could (or wants to) retype here. There is over a decade of discussion in the archives, and the devil is in the details.
