Yay!! Today my Almirante Pumilio were calling all day and, now at about 10 PM, I look into where they were sitting to find about 15 eggs!!! This is insane!! I would take pictures but everyone has tucked in and I don't want to disturb the female or anything. I'm very excited, but I'm more interested in the number of the eggs. Is this common?

Hey Everett,
Congratulations! I told you she was a wild one ;) I've seen a few clutches from wc BriBri and wc Almirante that reach into the teens before. You probably won't see them take care of all of the tads, though. Unfortunately, only a handful (if any) will receive parental care. Sounds like your trio is doing well, though!

I've had the female since last wednesday (nov 17) and it 6 days before she laid her first clutch. I know a few people who are feeding the eggs of other clutches of pumilio to some of the tads because the parents won't always do it. You could try that (provided that they are still laying).
