Hi Guy's,

I am a newbie, I would like to put a drip wall in the new viv I am constructing. Can anyone tell me what a good GPH pump would be? I have seen them from 1000 GPH down to 30 GPH.

I appreciate the help.

It totally depends on what you require...What elevation does the water need to be lifted? You want something that can lift the water up to the required height, yet you also will need something with variable flow. That way you can fine tune the pressure until you get a nice slow trickle.

You can use an inline valve to slow the flow.

Think through the design and then you'll know what pump to use. Most small fountain pumps can handle an 18" rise but you need to check the documentation.

Is the pump in-tank, outside the tank?
Are you wanting to pass the water through a filter?
How is the water going to 'drip'?
What path will the water take on it's way down the wall?
Etc....
