Does anyone know of any places that sell fruit flies in the Atlanta area? I think petsmart sells small cultures of fruit flies sometimes but they aren't always in stock. Im starting some cultures but would like to know a good place just for emergency. Also silly question but is there anywhere I could also buy ABG mix in Atlanta since it IS from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens... or do I need to make my own or order online?

Check out the Atlanta thread (in southeast regional subforum)...everyone is putting what feeders they keep in case of emergency. Why not post on there and let us know what you keep etc... I believe that ABG sells their mix in the giftshop. I have plenty of melanos if you ever need some.

Saw some at Petco last night in Asheville, NC so you might call your local Petco.

Yup. Petco carries them....they're expensive though. 10.00 per culture of melanogaster.

this is one reason its important to network with other froggers in your area. fellow hobbyists are almost always happy to lend a hand. ive given away/ sold CXs to a number of froggers in my general area.

Thanks for all the great replies! I might just have to plan a trip for me and my girl down to the ABG and check out the darts and canopy walk. I have one culture I got at repticon im about to try and turn into more today. I think they are the melanos. I think I do remember seeing some in Petco as well now that you mention it.
