When I came home yesterday I discovered one of my pacific tree frog tadpoles had transformed into a little froglet! I set him up in his own terrarium so that he wouldn’t be stuck in the water.

currently he still has his tail and I have not gotten him to eat yet. I’ve heard that froglets don’t need food while they still have their tails, so when should I expect him to start needing food? I have some fruit flies to feed him since he is super tiny.

From your title, it sounded like you were raising him for human consumption!

Typically they will start eating springtails and fruit flies shortly after their tail is fully absorbed. They may go a couple days without eating, but just make sure there is a food source available for when they do decide to eat.
