Has anyone ever had anything mushy growing on their java? I don't know if it's mold, algae, fungus or even maybe insect web, but it's covering patches of my moss and is spreading. It's whitish and the established insect fauna (like springtails) aren't degrading it. If anyone has had a similar problem or if anyone has an idea what it might be, let me know. Better yet, let me know how to get rid of it!! Here are some pictures:

(sorry, don't know how to post the pics)
Thanks for any replies,[/img]

It looks like fungus. Your soil and viv may be too wet. How long has this been going on? I've had something similar spring up on some terrestial moss in one of my moss growning vivs where I let the soil become too wet. Otherwise, I've seen mold/fungus pop up on moss and wood when introduced into the viv but quickly disappear. You may need to dry things out a bit. Just my 2 cents.
