Hi. I'm interested to know what lights everyone uses & your satisfaction with it. Thanks!

I’m using hygger aquarium lights right now. It has a day and night cycle I really like. I know most people use Nicrew.

I think the light you choose totally depends on the size of vivarium. I chose the arcadia jungle dawn led bar for my 36x18x36, but I think that light would be way too bright for smaller vivs. In fact, part of me is worried it is too bright for mine. As far as general recommendations, though, It seems a lot of people have great success with nicrew lights on both smaller and large-ish vivariums.

I use Nicrew on all my 36" tall tanks and they do a great job.

I still use flourescent. I buy LED from time to time as they have useful features but when I do a side by side comparison with flourescent I always find the colours don’t look as good IMO. Especially greens.

Which exact Nicrew do you use? Last LED I tried was a Hygger off Amazon.ca (a few months ago) and it was on my tank for 10min before I sent it back. Just want to try another to see if I can find an LED I really like.
Nicrew RGB plus or SkyLED plus are my preferred models

I use two Nicrew RGB 24/7 36-48" on a 36x18x36 ExoTerra for more spread, but "detuned" a bit. The 24/7 programming and ramping (15 or 30 minutes) is nice. Once you figure out the remote and wired controls, it's really pretty easy to adjust.

Fluval Plant Bluetooth 3.0 because it offers adjustable spectrum, seamless sunrise/sunset transition in any color you like, ip67, bluetooth control from your phone, quality build. I understand the choice of nicrew and others when one has more enclosures, from the price point issue, but if you need a light for just one enclosure, you should look more, there are better options than cheap chinese noname lights.

I posted some comparison photos between a Nicrew RGB + W 24/7. and a Fluval Plant 3.0 (and Spectral Designs, too). I have used SD panels for almost five years, and a couple of the Fluvals for about a year and a half, and thought the same as you about 'cheap Chinese lights' until I tried them. :)

I use spectral designs lights but those are way overkill for most tanks (even mine) but i like the way they look and and i bought the tc420 controller for one and it works great.
