Ok, this sounds dumb, and I think I know what they are, but I have no idea where to get them. I have asked at gardening centers, lowes, home depot, and pet stores, but no one knows what they are. So, can someone lead me to a source for these. I know that they would really help me out in a lot of cases. Thanks in advance,

I get them from http://www.aquaticeco.com. They have just about any size you could ever need. They are in the plumbing parts section.

you can also buy them at pool supply stores. Pool supply stores actually have tons of unique fittings that otherwise you can only find in catalogs. Worth a shot.
