Hi all,

We just set up a new vivarium as an "upgrade" from a previous tank that was a few years old. Besides the fact that ants found their way into the tank, it was time for a change. We managed to catch our mated pair of highland bronze auratus and put them in a holding tank until the new vivarium "cycles". Problem is that the frogs are now completely freaked and won't eat in the holding tank (it's a 2.5 gallon tank). We are concerned about their stress levels and not eating. How long should the knew tank cycle before moving them to the new tank? Is there anything we can do to help them calm down or accelerate the cycling process?

Any advice would be great!

Thanks,
Matt

The stress will go away in a day or two. make sure to provide them with hiding places like a cocohut or two. Watch and see if they are maintaining their weight. don't put too many flies in, if the flies crawl all over the frogs, that can stress them out some more.
