Whats the name of the little teracotta bowls some people are using in thier vivs for hides ?

What other neat items are used for hides ?

I think you are talking about the saucers that go underneath terracotta pots. I used some in mine for a while before I got petri dishes.

That looks like a nut pod. BJ sells them in a few different sizes. I don't know how you'd use them for hides though, they're more of an accent... not big enough to be a hide really.

I am not sure about the pots you are asking about, but this is what I put into my viv right now. They are small dried gourds that I broke the bottom off of and made an opening in them. I think that they look somewhat natural the way they are in the viv. They may not last as long as coco huts or other items, but I keep some growing and drying out pretty much each year.

That looks like a nut pod. BJ sells them in a few different sizes. I don't know how you'd use them for hides though, they're more of an accent... not big enough to be a hide really.

they actually work well for hides if you get the big ones. i have 2 that i got a couple years ago that are about the same size on the inside as a cocohut. amazingly, they havent broken down much. not like the brazil nut pods with are spent in a couple months.

i believe the ones i got were called monkey pods, from blackjungle. which look like whats in the picture the op posted.
