I like the camera alot still not quite used to all the settings I have found manual focus to be great for getting all the tight shots in.

i thinks its rated what it is b/c it is mostly black. collectors seem to go with the brightest/boldest/most colorful frogs. seems so if you look at prices of splashbacks u know?

I think for variation in pattern Alanis takes the cake most darts dont have such a variety of looks available in one morph. And boldness I personally have never seen a shy Alanis. However with these arguments it is still not my favorite dart.

Nice picture, and I have to agree about it being an underated frog... which it shouldn't be. They are really nice frogs, great contrast on them since they are primarly black. But then again I am eagerly looking forward to the day when I can keep some E. femoralis lol... I bet most people will consider that a truely "ugly" frog . Back to the picture... I like the stance you caught him in, very cool.

Funny enough he walks around in that stance all day. Especially when he's eating.

Yeah, mine are usually in that stance during feeding... but thats about it. The rest of the time they just hang out and look like they want even more food lol.

Mine never stop feeding they sit like that in anticipation that they will see a fly move. Then snatch it up before the other 2 get to it.
