Sphagnum can saturate and ABG is beautifully drained. I think this would somewhat defeat the purpose of the ABG. Personally I would never do that. Instead, lots of leaf litter on top of your ABG. I aim for a couple of inches of leaf litter.

I just added some sphagnum moss on top of my abg.Is it ok to do this.It's about an inch deep with a 2'' to 3'' of abg.
