Very nice vivarium, and that is a neat idea, the whole double-decker thing. By the way, you’re Mike of “Mike monitors”?! I have checked out your monitor site before, very nice beasties. Especially those emerald tree monitors. Good to see another frogger/herper in Chicago, too.

Welcome to a very addicting part of the amphibian world. I started with 0.0.2 Powder Blue d. tinctorius, and now have 0.0.2 d azureus, 0.0.2 Blue & Bronze d auratus, 0.1 Ole Marie d. tinctorius. Looking for my next group, either leucomelas or maybe a thumbnail group.

Cheers!

I have used the moss found in my back yard here in Kentucky and it grows better then the expensive tropical moss. It is actually starting to spread in my tanks which is nice.

i have used temperate climate in my terrarium and it works fine. I have been told that it will need a dormant period to survive and thus will probably die out after a while. However, i do have a constant supply of it, so it can be quickly replaced.
