This rack. Is THE BEST!!! Sturdy as hell!!! Dimensions are PERFECT!!! 60 x 24x 72 Can hold three 18x18x24 zoo meds across ( with room left over in the back) on one shelf. Or A TON of 20 gallons. Honestly. Bottom line.. Its the quality!!This beats any rack I bought at lowes or home depot!! I'm pissed!! Because now i want two more to replace the other racks!!!

It was funny to bribe my 300 lb 68 year old neighbor with burger king gift certificates to actually get him to sit on on the shelf To test run this bad boy!!( before The top was put on!! :D

Not a single buckle or squeek!! Lol.. Nice!!

Serious.. It's worth the money!!!!!! For those too cheap .. Trust me..

It looks like they have an extra support running under the middle bar of each shelf. Is that right?
Nice to see they have other sizes as well and that they are close to me.
That is definitely the best baker's rack design. Costco sells a standard 48x18 with 6 shelves in that heavy duty style for under $100.

Trust me.. I feel your love with Costco!! ( i am a costco nutt btw.. Premium here ... ) I have a rack from them!! They are GREAT!!! ( better than the home depot and lowes version!! Yes!! But this rack ... Serious. I will give you my address so you can hunt me down if I'm lying!! :) plus.. The different sizes!! I'm kind of overeacting a bit..

Are they close?? I'm in Palm Springs.. I didn't know that!!
Lol.. Yep it's like a " bar" across the middle.. Yes.. I assume it's for extra support.. It runs along the middle.
How are these different from the Costco racks besides the sizes? In any case thanks for the link, I am in the market for several 36x18 racks (not available through Costco) and these look perfect.

To be frankly honest.. I don't know.. They just feel " more " sturdy and the LARGE size is what sold me!! But I will not say or pretend. I just have not been able to hold as much WEIGHT as this and not have problems.. It's just my experience ..
Looks like they are sold through a lot of retail locations like Costco, Wal-mart, Lowes, etc. but their location is in Torrence. So, closer to me than to you.
They sell these at my local Sam's club. I have 3 of them , my only complaint is the little wire edge they put on the shelves. In reality they are 23 and 7/8th wide surface not 24. My Exo tanks have to sit at a very minor angle to fit.. Not as big a deal as I was afraid it would be but still my only complaint.

Arnt Exo tanks usually 18" depth??? That leaves 5 " if the width is 23" even!!

Try and find the SAME size in person !!! Been there. Done that!! Rolling hills, redondo beach,
Manhattan beach.. .. Yeah. That's my territory I grew up and have already searched that area in person, And trust me. You won't find that size unless direct from the company!!
Here's another cheap option guys. They are called Conveior Storage Systems and they sell used boltless storage racks. Most of the 5 foot wide units run under $100 bucks. They do sell some new racks for a little over a hundred bucks. They have two locations one in LA and one in San Diego. They are heavy duty and cheap especially if you're looking for the five foot wide racks. Just another option out there.
LA 714-500-0632
San Diego 619-255-1428
They do have a website but I don't know what it is. Try google.
I did a good amount of research before I bought mine 6 months ago. You can't go wrong with the edasal

Shop edsal 72"H x 72"W x 24"D Steel Freestanding Shelving Unit at Lowes.com

It is about as sturdy as you are gonna find. They also sell extra shelves if you want more n

Yeah.. these are great!! ( THE SIZE IS PERFECT!!!) the One i have is fine but I had problems the other one bowing. but the fact they are made in the USA is a huge plus!!. my only concern i had with them as two others commented on here was that the crossbeams started to bow out. That's because you need to install the tie bars. The tie bars connect the crossbeams front to back and prevent the bowing.

but all in all ( one of the best out there for sure)easy assemble by far, the original one i have is a tank!! but traded the last two for these ones i just purchased!! and the fact they have wheels. great for moving when cleaning time comes.

Yup. If you install the bars at the middle of each shelf you should be fine.

Dan,

I ran into a similar issue - a wooden dowel placed along the back that's the proper width allows the exo to sit level on an 18" rack.
