Hey. So, I built a terrarium yesterday and had so much fun, I want to do it again. I made space, and this time, I'm going bigger. I'm wondering, what are some good options for terribillis? I see that 36 x 18 x 18 is the minimum, which I have the space for, but the thing is, my stand is 48 inches. So I'd like to use all of the space. I have an empty 75 gallon aquarium, but I hear that can be a pain, and as a beginner, that worries me. Would rather go for the open front, anyways. I could also get a 36 x 18 x 36 tank, but I'm not sure if the extra cash is worth it for the height. Besides that, are there any 48 inch terrariums for sale? I can't seem to find any. There is a 48 inch by reptizoo, but I see no front vents. So, any good 48 inch options? If not, is the 36 x 18 x 36 worth it? Or will they not use the extra height. This is a display tank. Thanks :)

I have a 48" x 18" x 36" Reptizoo...think its the PHK28? Front vented. I'm still working on it but believe this one may benefit from mounting an internal circulation fan due to the size and placement of the front vent vs. the volume of the tank, but I'm happy with it.
Omg! That is perfect. Bad part is, doesn't look like it is sold in the USA. I could only find one website which was Canadian, and doesn't ship to the USA :(

The
Well, 36" x 18" x 36" is still a good size -- I run four of them for terribilis. And yes, they'll climb anywhere they can.
Thanks, as long as they'll use it it's worth it for me. I can also go pick that size up locally which is a big plus! So we think a 36 x 18 x 36 is better than a 48 x 18 x 18?

Well...it comes down to how the tank is set up. They climb, they like multiple levels and enjoy lurking under overhangs, they roam; to my mind it's almost six of one, a half dozen of the other. Assuming a well-planned set-up in terms of surface area ... I guess you could pretty much do the math and work out what's giving them more.

I usually err on the side of longer tanks but 36" x 18" is a decent footprint. As others have said: ventilation is critical with this species. You need all the vents.
