Looks like you are off to a great start :)
It looks great and nice shrooms :D
I wish I was that lucky to have some shrooms pop up.
Wonder where they came from lol cause I want some to pop up in my viv.
I never had any luck with fittonia. I hope you have better luck than I did lol and purple waffle plants are awesome and grow pretty fast.

Check out these fans Todd has.http://www.dendroboard.com/forum/sponsor-classifieds/77041-air-circulation-new-year.html
They look pretty neat. Plus no wiring or anything just slap some screen on it and you are good to go.
You could throw some silicone and cocofiber on them to help it blend in.
Pointing the tip towards the front glass should keep the front's condensation down so you can have a clear view.

Can't wait to see the frogs you pick. Take care :)

Thanks Brandon the fittonia had been growing fine for the past 6 or 8 months.
Other than recently being burned a little from the new lighting .
yeah fittonias get burned really easy....that's the main reason I have never had luck with them. They leaves always start looking like crap and I can't stand it so I pull them lol.
They might be fine in my viv since it is a vert but in my other vivs they burnt just under a reg florescent grow bulb and a 5.0 full spectrum florescent. They were your reg horizontal type vivs and closer to the lights. I just don't feel like fooling with them anymore lol.

Good luck with them :)

You can try grabbing a mushroom cap from outside and putting it in your tank. that ought to seed it. of course it may bre too cool where you live right now.
I see them every once in a while.
I am a bit weary tho of bringing stuff from outside into my viv tho.
Afraid I am gonna wind up bringing parasites in and I'm not sure if a bleach dip would get up in those slits under the mushroom cap.
My springtails would enjoy that mushroom lol and eat it up.

Yikes!
So a small fan even with these cooler temperatures would be beneficial?
a fan might drop your temps down. With them already at 72 I would look into lighting that may put off more heat maybe or idk if putting a heat mat underneath would help. Might help some and make the water that evaporates warmer.
What is your temp in the house?
What type of lighting do you have?
I want to get LEDs but I am afraid it would drop my temps down too much so I keep the ones I have cause the temps are ideal.

I live in the basement of a bilevel home. So the temps in the basement are the same.
Lighting is not exclusive to the 20L
It's a retrofit fixture mounted from the ceiling.
(4) 46" T5 HO BULBS (3) 6500k and (1) 4500k ran on an ICECAP 660 ballast suspended about 3 feet above everything.
Since its winter I have to move everything I can inside which means all my palms, crotons, orchids, broms, etc come inside.

LED's are powerful when done correctly.
But if your worried about temperature why not just stay with T5's ?

If anything I suppose I should get a small heat mat
sounds like a good light setup.
If you drop it down more it would raise your temps if a fan does change anything.
nah I am running just two 26w 2600k CFLs.

Did you check out those fans Todd is selling?

Brandon there is so much PAR produced by my current setup if I drop it any lower I might as well be growing these plants on the surface of mercury. They are still getting slightly burned when it's 3 feet away and taken a month and a half to get them up to 8 hrs daily. Haha

Your current spectrum isnt incredibly conducive to plant growth.

Not sure what you mean by fans Todd is selling :-/
I'm not exactly sure what PAR means

I meant 6500k a peice...also they are 23w not 26w..sorry man my brain is just fried...got a lot going on. Most are 26w so I got mixed up lol idk where 2600k came from lol.
here is a pic and my thread link.

I mentioned Todd's ad for these neat circulation fans but I guess you missed it lol. It was in my first post I will post it again, it is in bold below.
It's in the green text, it looks like plain text and not a link...easy to miss :p

PAR = Photosynthetic Available Radiation for those of you who didn't know. It's a much more relevant unit than lumens are
thanks for the clarification.
I will be posting a thread about photosynthesis in the plant section soon.
Maybe you can shed some "light" onto the discussion lol

Thanks Bryan!

So I ordered two from Saurian Enterprises "large juveniles" is what they offered.

I also ordered Fruit Fly cultures and a kit from Joshes Frogs , and Temperate Springtails.

Melanogaster FF's btw...

sound good? :)
I read that these are your first PDFs?
I would really get culturing down before you get frogs.
If you are adamant about getting the darts without getting a good grip on culturing first then try to make sure you have a frogging buddy near you in case your cultures crash.

I wish you the best of luck with your frogs and cultures :D
