I was curious on what everyone prefers. Do most people drill their tanks and allow the water to drain or do most people prefer to just use a false floor and water when needed?

Most people do both.. You want the false floor so your substrate doesnt get soupy. Then when it gets too full.. they drain.. Use like a shut off valve.

I guess you could set it up to drain all the time.. but.. you would have to have something to drain it in. Taking up more room.. and make sure you dont accidentally overflow it.
