Maybe a dumb question, but when a tad is in the center of a brom, say the brom starts budding to produce flowers, what will happen to the tad? Will it be ok?

I would say as long as there is water in the brom, the tad should be fine. Soon the mom or dad will be coming back to move the little guy anyways.

I am not sure.
If the frog is part of an egg-feeding group, then probably yes, because the mom will return to drop in unfertilized eggs and might move her baby to a safer place if necessary.
If the frog is not part of the egg-feeding family, the tadpole may be more at risk of drying out.
Moral of the story, keep your vivarium well misted, and always have a little water in the brom as well (good for the frog, good for the brom).
