I have a tadpole who is getting his color and it looks like his front legs will pop any day now. The problem is, i'm going on vacation this afternoon and won't be back until sunday.

What can i do to make sure that if it is ready to crawl out of the water, it can, and be ok?

I was thinking of just transferring it to a tilted shoebox with some water at one end, will that suffice?

Thanks!

From my experience with tadpoles (non darts), they don't eat until their tails have been reabsorbed anyway. So food won't be an issue. Stick a piece of pothos or something in the tilted shoebox for him to hide under and he should be fine.
