Any reccomendations on required space for raising thumbnail tads, maybe in square inches/centimeters? I know they usually develop in bromeliad axils in the wild, but I've also seen breeders dedicate an entire shoebox to one tad.

We use 10 oz. dixie cups from Costco. I have been using this system for over a year, and have had several different species morph out including thumbs with no problems. I keep the water level about 1/2 in from the top of the cup.

I raised my first imitator to the point where the front legs were just about to pop out in a 4+1/2 inch petri dish, water changes twice a week, and then transfered it to a 32 oz culture container to morph out in...worked ok, but I usually like to give tads more space.

What about the difference between cannibal tads and non-cannibals. Can cannibles be kept together if given enough space? How much?
