I am looking for a cheap way to heat a small terrarium. I thought that I could just buy a cheap aquarium heater, but the guy at the pet store said the cheap ones were not fully submersible. They have to be at the top of an aquarium full of water. The fully submersible ones are $35.00. He said I could buy a heat mat for the same amount, but my terrarium is all ready built. I don't think the terrain would allow for a heat mat.
If anyone has any cheaper suggestions, I would appreciate it.
Most vivariums don't need an additional heat source since most of the commercially-available dart frogs thrive in temps of 74-80* F. The light sources we use usually keep the temperatures in the aquariums around this temperature. Hope this helps!
jus use a heat pad like that other guy said
or buy a cheap heat rock and bury it
