was wondering if stacking a dart frog tank,on top of,a fish tank, draining into it,even feeding the mistking from the fish tank has been done?i have kept discus before and change water weekly.do you think this system would become a contaminated mess?thanks for any input.

You'll probably find that the mistking nozzles will become clogged due to all the salts and dissolved organics in the fish tank water...

But you could drain the water from the frog tank into the fish tank. Just be aware, you'll be adding a parge amount of TDS in the water.

You would basically have a sump/refugium under your frog tank. I’ve done this many times with no problems and with great plant growth, as long as you moniter the water quality. If done correctly, the waste from the terrarium/vivarium above can fertilize the refugium (fish tank) below..without the need for extra fertilizers...assuming the fish tank below is a planted tank and needs the extra nutrients. I wouldn’t do this for a discus tank though, as they need more stablized water.

I wouldn’t feed a mistking with “dirty” water either, for the same reason as said above ^.
