I went to wally world today and bought something called self- adhesive sponge tape weatherstirp insulating tape. I am going to put it around the inner lip of my aquarium so that fruit flies cant escape. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this and also wondering about toxicity. The frogs shouldnt come in contact with it because the top is sitting on it.

It works ok, but not great. What I have done on some tanks is this:

1. Silicone the back of the lid
2. Buy some no-see-um neting
3. Cut small strips and tap\glue them to the edge so the lids closes on it.

This has worked well for me and the only escapes I have is when I open the lid.
