I've noticed that my female anthonyi has been producing mostly bad eggs recently, and I'm guessing she needs a break. She's been producing a clutch a week for quite some time now...

I moved her over to a planted 10g horizontal today but I'm curious if there's any type of stress to the male or the female because of their new isolation? Will they still be just as healthy as solo frogs for a while? Oh and one more question....how long should I keep her separated from him before I can put her back in with the male?

Thanks! :)

I've been using repcal and herptivite...rotating each daily. I'd like to get repashy, but I didn't know about that stuff when I got em and I wanted to wait till I at least used up some of the two I already paid for.

Herptivite and Rep-cal do not contain any preformed vitamin A or carotenoids other than beta carotene. It may take several months or longer for the female to store up enough nutrients to support reproduction again.
If you start supplementing with a supplement that contains several different carotenoids and/or preformed vitamin A then the female will recover more quickly.

Thanks Ed.

What supplement would you recommend?

Thanks for the tips and the recommendations. I'll have to make an order shortly! I think I'll leave them separated for a few months regardless...I've got one clutch OOW now and another couple close behind, so I'll have my hands full enough!
