I’ve had a Viv getting settled for about 4 weeks. I’ve noticed that the spag is staying too saturated. Do I need it if I have a good enough leaf litter layer? Should I leave some spag in the viv? I have abg as the substrate and that seems to be draining well but the spag is just too moist and making the substrate saturated as well? Should I take the spag out. Other that that viv is doing well.

Spagnum moss will retain a lot of moisture and is actually not good for the frogs’ feet as it can cause rot. I think removing it and focusing on enough leaf litter on top of the ABG will be a good move.

That’s what I’ve been reading planning on taking it out. Thank you for the help!
