So this was my first GS/silicon-coconut husk tank. Here it is. I currently have four Understory line vents that will call this home soon. I am waiting for the glass lid I ordered for it to arrive :D

I'm using the terra-cotta balls. That's what I've used in the rest of my tanks it works really well. It's a 20 gallon tall

Right on, I just couldn't tell from the pic. I have always had good results with the hydroton. What other plants are you gonna put in there? One thing I have done to hide the gs is to put black contact paper on the outside of the tank, makes everything look much cleaner (if that's something you care about). Tank is looking good, can't wait to see it fully planted!

Thanks man. But yeah I didn't read up on the GS silicon application enough to find that scraping away the shiny surface of the GS makes it easier for the silicon to stick.....so that was a bbbbiiiigggg pain in the butt.
