I've had mother broms who were not so colored up when I got them throw nice colored pups once they were under decent lighting.

Have you noticed the mother plant coloring up at all?

Yes, she is coloring up a bit at the base, but the leaves are still very green. she is about four inches under the lights.

That's probably it then! I think everything costs a zillion dollars up there in AK (on a TV show I saw - milk was $9 a gallon!!) so you may find this helpful for future lighting projects

its not that expensive in anchorage but the last time I was in the bush it was 10$ a gallon.

And THAT is a REALLY cool website. I'm scared of electricity but I might like to try that anyway.
