Skinny Frogs....

I don't have any experience besides what I've been reading on here, so you'll have to wait for someone else to answer you. One thing that may help them though is if you give them some more information. What are you feeding them/how often? supplements? What kind of setup is he in? temp/humidity?

Whats in the tank with the skinny Azureus? How old are the frogs? How many frogs in the tank? What size tank?

I would separate it. Set up a plastic bin with some Sphag and a few plant cuttings. You'll be able to monitor it better and it will eliminate any bullying that could be taking place

Getting a fecal check is also a good idea as some parasitic infections can cause weight loss as well. There are a lot of potential reasons for weight loss in frogs.

Separate any frogs that are slimming down, the key is to catch it before they get too thin. Load the temporary tank with springtails, set up a feeding station for both springs and flies (small slice of banana and a pinch of yeast). Have lots of hides to reduce stress. I would even feed small meals multiple times a day. Have a 15 minute sit down and feed as much as it wants but not more, you don't want the flies to be stressing him out, if you do feed too much they will congregate at the feeding station.

The tanks is a 10 gallon with 2 other 5 month out of water frogs from the same clutch...tons of hiding spots and food

Still separate, and as Ed said, fecals will eliminate a LOT of possibilities of why the frog is thin. They can't hurt, and they aren't expensive.

Ok so a fecal test? How is that done? Do I need to buy a microscope and a really tiny toilet with some REALLY small versions of REPTILES magazine?

I Live and Riverview, FL and apparently (via that National Herp Doctor Site) there is a Herp DVM 2 miles from my house!!! They have an onsite lab for "Fecal Tests for parasites" for any animal.

Any ideas what a test should cost?

No...he looked weak last night when they were closed but I did as many suggested and treated him "on skin" with vitamins to no avail...so I had to console myself by going out and buying 12 frogs from Bill Schwinn

A vet at the Animal Hospital near me that was on call...it is the only vet near me with an ARAV certified vet.

They suggested a 1/8 teaspoon of reptivite mixed with 16oz of RO water in a flat breeder box

Thanks, it wasn't a suggestion I was expecting to hear, however I'm not going to contradict a vet.

Yea I guess it made some sense....but it was useless in the end...but I went and got the female half of my first "pair" of powder blues and 4 citronella 2 yellowbacks 2 aratus and 2 azurus from Bill Schwinn to fill the void

Just to make sure, are you going to use the same enclosure or materials from the enclosure in which the frogs were housed or are you going to discard everything that can't be sterilized?

I considered it but the other 2 were perfect...I think it was a combination of my lack of knowledge as to what additional supplements to give them and when ...I began using powders on their flies only a month or so ago and I have had them for 3 months
