I got pair of the almirante's and they are absolutely awesome. My first pumilio pair. They've been really bold, using all of the 65gal viv and intense in courtship.

Hi Marcus,

There's been a lot of discussion here lately about the many "Bri Bri" that are coming in and, since this is apparantly not a locality one would expect in shipments from Panama, I was wondering if you could help explain what the frog's origin is (at least the ones that you have for sale).

Thanks, Richard.

Hi Richard,

About the Bri Bri I am offering. A customer of mine gave me 2 female Bri Bri
when he was getting rid of most of his collection. That was several years ago and
I am not sure where he got them.

I have never imported or kept any Costa Rica pumilio other than these.

There have been several recent imports of El Dorado pumilio that are being
sold a proven long term Bri Bri pumilio pairs.
I think most everybody knows who are attempting this scam.

El Dorado do not come from Costa Rica as has been reported by some.
I have not been to their specific site but have been shown on a map where
they are located. It happens to be on property owned by a relative who works at
the frog farm.

Hope this answers the Bri Bri questions.

Regards, Marcus Breece SNDF

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for the speedy update. I think it really helps people to understand the difference between the frogs and how they are being marketed. I appreciate the clarification!

Take care, Richard.

(P.S. Are you coming to Frog Day? I know there would be a lot of us who'd like to see you).

Paul, Marcus is pretty good about making sure they are a pair. I got my almerante from him, and they started breeding in a rubber made temp tank -.-The day they came!

They actually laid 6+ eggs in the quarentine tube I had them in before "ilovejaden" had a chance to come pick these up from my house. I was really impressed by the coloration of this pair.
