Figured this would be fun. From the forums looks like there were two big shows going on this weekend (west coast, and east coast) and instead of segregating, I figure show us your "weekend" haul.

Here's what I nabbed from 4-5 different vendors
*Tons of plants (I've said before I'm not a plant guy, I know how they grow and how to grow them, names/species etc... ::Shrug:: I do remember the button Fern, and I'm pretty sure a Sunset Philodendron)
*A mistking setup I've been eyeing FOREVER (I have the monsoon and I'm not impressed..)
*A Breeding Trio of Turq/bronze Auratus from ReptilesEtcetera (looks to be a 1.2)
*a New exo 18x18x24 (LLL had them at a great deal and you can print a 10% coupon off their website)

I stopped by Danes booth unfortunately ISO's where gone already, but he had a great booth LOTS of good pickings (honestly I forgot to go back for some Broms)

anyway PICTURES:

if anyone wants to ID the plants please PM me (to keep the thread on topic)

I picked up a few awesome bearded dragons at the Tulsa show. Sucks sometimes not being on the coast anymore. I used to be able to go the the baltimore and Richmond shows. :(

Nice I love beardies, actually just recently sold off my last girl, to much time away and wife refuses to feed roaches/worms. But yeah at the SD show today they had a hypo/scaleless there.. price was only $3500 lol.. they're to weird and sickly looking for me but a novel piece being they are so rare. what type/morph did you pick up?

I picked up a pair of Veradero and a pair of E. Anthonyi from Taron along with leaf litter and broms. I got some isos, plants, and soil from Dane. It was a great show with a lot of frogs....not something you see at a lot of on the west coast.

Thanks, I've never seen a scaleless beardie, leather back which I don't think is scaleless. but hypo and scaleless, that'd be like a lizard with human skin. Gugh...

My friend that owns a local petstore needed some so I found a guy who had some really nice and very red babies. I didn't ask if he had a specific name for them. anymore someone will just be like... " it's a super fire sun blaze het albino dream lizard" and I'm like what...? "you mean red right?" :D

Awesome babies though, I picked up 6 for $25 each. I guess that's not bad.

Yeah there were alot of frogs there I was actually impressed. (not all PDF's though) ... sooo you're one of the ones that took the iso's before I could get there...

Heck thats not bad for some "reds" especially if they're showing their color at that age, they'll only get more intense.

Oh, yeah... They're gonna be killer! They are poppin red and looked to be within 5 weeks old. A couple had some really good red/black contrast in the lateral spotting which is one thing I think looks good and which I look for when getting beardies.

Well folks, let's see some dart frogs or other fun stuff you got at a show this weekend. I'm curious too! :)

I got some frogs from reptiles etc. I was there both saturday and sunday in san diego. I was actually dissapointed with the show. I remember last year there was at least a couple of dart frog specialist vendors. This year I felt like it was slim pickens. I couldn't find fruit fly culture cups and lids on sunday. I couldn't find repashy calcium plus on sunday anywhere.

I did pick up some things though. I picked up 4 phylobates vitatus from reptiles etc, as well as a several plastic containers to quarantine and raise isopods\springtaiils.

Never go to one of these shows on Sundays if you have to have a certain thing. Most of the smaller specialized vendors don't come with enough product to sell for two days. Only the large vendors like LLL come well prepared....perhaps that's why they have four stores and growing.

Not always true of the small vendors. I tend to have plenty of the dart frog supplies available for both days. I was not able to vend this year as it was Fathers day weekend and family takes priority.
It is great that larger vendors are having success during this tough economy.
Remember that the smaller guys like Dane and I sell frogs with lineage information produced in our frog rooms. We are also available for help personally long after the show.

VERY true statement. And it is a comfort, I buy supplies from LLL not animals. (well nothing big $$$ lol)
