I collected a root-type piece of wood the other day, but it has little pointy nodules along some areas of it. How big a danger is this of tearing skin on the frogs, etc? Or do you think they will be affected by it much?

someone told me once to use a wet paper towel to test this. get it wet and fold it smooth and run it over the area gently. it it picks up pieces of paper, it will probably pick up pieces of frog....

I ditched the idea after looking at it more closely last night. I tried taking a lot of the nubs off...but it was too overwhelming. I'm using it for an aquarium instead.

Better safe than sorry is a good thing to go by, but a lot of broms are spinny so its a matter of the ammount of weight put on them. I know my imitators never seem to have a issue climbing over a spinny brom.
