If I have two Leucs and one is singing and we've observed both frogs in head amplexus...should I assume I also have a female or should I wait to see eggs? I suppose we'll find out in time but would be interested in others thoughts. TIA

Hi elmo,
It could be a pair. However when i had my leucs the males used to wrestle (including amplex) all the time playing king of the hill for one perfect spot(i think to them) on a leaf that was supported by a branch and was over the water area. Sorry this wasnt much help though. Best to just wait and see.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for your comments. I'm not familiar enough with PDF behaviors so I wondered whether it was male rivalry or something else. I suppose male frogs will sing even in the absence of a female (hoping she appears right around the bend :D ).
