Hello,
I want to seed my tanks with springtails. Do, I just put alot of leaf litter, and dump a starter kit in there? My starters came with charcoal in water, do the springtails breed better on the charcoal and water than the leaf litter? I also need to start more for froglets, whats the best way? Start a tub with alot of leaf litter, and place a starter in it? Or get some charcoal and start them that way?

Springtails do great in leaf litter, but will have no problem reproducing in any moist substrate.

While they are in the leaf litter, do I have to feed them the yeast?

Nope. Once they are in the tank, they will do everything themselves.
