When you guys put a strip of screen frame across the top of the tank, should it go acros the front or back of the top of the tank? Will putting it across the front eliminate fogging?

Definitely put it across the front. It will greatly reduce fogging, but it may not eliminate fogging, depending on the temperature variance between the room and the inside of the tank.
