I have a bunch of riccia and have been thinking about incorporating some of it into my vivarium. I have a planted tank full of the stuff but there are ramshorn snails in the tank as well. I have seen ppl on frog forums looking for the stuff but they always say they want it to be snail free. What is the danger of getting snails in your viv? I don't imagine they would multiply in a vivaruim the way they do in a planted tank, would they?

Sure they would as well as eat your plants
Typical pond snails yes, but ramshorn snails munch mostly on diatom and GDA, not plants. And the plants In my vivarium and much tougher (thicker waxy leaved plants) than what you find in aquariums. Do you still think this would be an issue?

Other than that could they be harmful? Do you think the frog would try to eat them/not be able to digest them?
