Redheaded cockroaches

Anyone use these? I personally have a hatred for roaches however I have a friend that works at a vet clinic and offered some up. I know nothing about these as feeders. Are they hard to come by? Can frogs even eat them? Do they offer any advantages? I probably wouldn't culture them for myself (I really hate roaches) but I'm trying to be a good d.b. member and offer to secure some starter cultures so as to get some availability if they are worth bringing such filth into my home.

hey, they are better than crickets! thankfully most the spieces just die if they get out of viv as they need a water source to survive... may want to look into it. i have culture of dubia that im going to give a whirl on (they are flightless, cant crawl up smooth surfaces, and odor is not a problem as long as you dont let the food rot). figure ill feed only the nymphs to the tank just kill off the adults if it gets to large(they can be pretty prolific if given high temps and humidity).
i'd make sure you feed them from a container, as dubias tend to burrow in substrate VERY quickly.
