Does anyone on here still have chazutas? I see lots of discussion on the other imi forms, but not so much on these.

Thanks. I got a trio from Gary1218 about 2-1/2 years ago, and all in all they've done well. I haven't seen all three out at once in a long, long time, and finally concluded that something happened to one. I had decided that maybe I was down to just one until last week when I saw the second one again. For some reason, they don't come out as much as they once did. It's getting about time to prune again, so maybe that's the problem. Regardless, we've really enjoyed them. I was hoping that maybe they'd breed, but i ended up with all females.

How long have you had yours?

Well, pruning seems to have worked as far as getting them moving is concerned. Not five minutes after I got done they both came out to survey the damage. Now if one of them would just sign up for gender reassignment, lol.

I've had mine about five months. A group of four is looking like 1.3 so far; I paired off 1.1 a couple months ago, and the male is calling a lot, but I think he's talking mostly to the male imitator 'green' in the next viv over.

My 'Chazuta' are really shy compared to the 'green'. I don't see the pair but every couple days, and the other two are still each in a smaller viv (2 1/2g tanks) and I never see them unless I dig around for them.

I recall Jared having calling males available in the past. You might be able to get that breeding going...

I have a pair that is breeding. I have two froglets that I have separated from the adults and I see at least one tad in the tank. They are fairly shy, but my male calls quite a bit so I get to track them down and see what they are up to.
