This thread is dedicated to the newly brought in UE Reticulated fantasticas. I will be treating this thread as a blog about my two r.f.s and will document they're behavior and post pictures of them. Please chime in with pictures and behaviors of yours as well with any questions about how they are doing.
So first day
I picked up my 'best guessed' pair of retic fants early around 8:30 brought them home, took a few pictures of them and then introduced them to their new Viv.

I plan on moving them to a larger enclosure so this will only be temporary but this Viv is nicely grown in and is infested with springtails

From what I can tell the smaller of the two actually looks like a female and the larger one looks male. The smaller of the two is fat and has smaller toe pads

And the larger one is more slim with larger toe pads

For right now they are pretty bold, exploring their surroundings, I suspect that they will find a few good hiding spots and stick to those places once comfortable. I am blown away by how different the two frogs are on their bellies. The pattern on their back is fairly similar however the larger of the two is a lighter orange color

while the smaller one has a more darker orange color

On my wetbelly dart frogs Facebook page you can view the box opening of the shipment. I will post a few higher quality pictures over the weekend. These are just quick cell phone pictures to get the thread started.
So tell me what do you think, any best guesses on their sex?

Kurt I think the smaller one is just a little too young to accurately sex, that qt tank looks great, that should get them grown out quickly, good luck with them.

Thank you everyone. Mark, approx how old do you think these frogs are? I have never owned Fanta before so I have nothing to relate their size to other than my benedicta. I would say the larger fant out of the two is the size of my adult male benedicta or close to. They are loving the film canisters so far, that's where I keep finding them every time I look. Never in the same canister but they do however favor them. It seems the smaller one keeps to the canisters located on the floor of the enclosure while the larger frog is playing in the ones located at the mid to upper level.

The smaller looks a little older than half grown, probably just a bit young to accurately sex but give it a month. A friend of mine got 5, he said his look like 1 female and 4 like your smaller one. I know Mark does his best and he is as experienced as anyone at getting it right.

Quick update on behavior, the past three days I have been working until 6pm when I get home I check up on them and the past three days the larger one has been up in the top right film canister and the small fat one has been hanging out in the vine plants above a film canister on the top left, I'm hoping today and tomorrow on my days off Ill be able to observe different behavior.
So far this morning when I went to check on them they where down by the front of the enclosure searching for springtails.
I should have some time tonight to upload pictures from my Nikon.

Hey everyone, I haven't had much time to observe the frogs. However, this morning when I turned the lights on my more shy smaller fat frog was in the front of the tank feasting on springtails. Here's a picture, this has got to be a female by the way it looks, I just don't understand how it can be smaller than the other unless the other is female as well. Here's a picture

I also had a great opportunity to take a selfie with the larger of the two frogs that seem to be pretty bold for a fant
