Im getting ready to build my rack and was thinking about doing one row with HOT5 light I just bought and one T-8 fixture and was curious if any dart frogs would prefer less intense light over the brighter T-5s. Just want to plan my tank builds accordingly.

We have kept various darts under power compacts, T5's, T8's, and even T12's with no problems. As Ed says, as long as meet the needs of the frogs, and watch your temps they should do fine. Some people have noted that Granuliferus breed better under low intensity lights. It can really be more about what kind of plants you wish to grow. If it's all about the frogs, and you are fine with low light plants like pothos, you can even get away with T12's
Thanks guys for the help. I think I will do one row of each. Thanks again for the quick responses!!!

Sorry for all the questions but I do have one more lol. When hanging lights on the rack what the average height everyone has their lights above the tank. Just curious as I know it will vary based off heat but rough ball park is all I'm looking for.
