So i've added the mix, waited till i seen maggots and added coffee
filters, now how long do i wait for the flies? are the dried brown sacks on the side the "cacoon" where the maggots are turning into flies? i see a minimal amount of flies but TONS of these "sacs" on the sides, and i dont have a lot of flies left and am questioning wether i should wait a little or go buy more flies... Sorry but its my first time, any help would be good
thanks

The brown 'sacs' are the pupae. Within days you will have newly emerging flies. It is common for the original flies in the culture to die off leaving behind larvae and pupae.

The sacks are from when the larvae pupae. You should start seeing production in a few days to a week, depends on your conditions and the species of files. From the day you start the culture, melanogasters typically take two weeks to start producing, and hydei take about a month.

Edit: you owe me a Coke Bill :p
