In one of my white springtail cultures I noticed today at least 10 purple springtails. What kind are they. Will try to get pics. They have a almost anodized purple look

Very interesting! Is this the same color purple? The link provides no real data, but these seem to be the color you're referring to.

Yes just as they describe. Very bold metallic purple / lavendar. They kind of shine.

If I were you I would separate them and try to start an entirely lavender colony. I would certainly buy some from you once you got them going.

In my tanks I have Ky natives that are metallic silver. I collected them by putting a deli container with a slit in it baited with banana in my compost pile. Metallic purple would be cool
