I'm looking to get a pump that I can place in a sump and pump water up to four feet for a waterfall in a false bottom. I've used a Rio 600 in the past. It was ok, but some people dislike them. I'm not looking for super strong pressure, but more than anything, I want the pump the be QUIET. I cannot stand a rattling or buzzing pump.
Input is appreciated.
Thanks.

Rio's tend to suck. They burnout soon and a lot of people have had problems with them. I'm using a Pondmaster Mag Pump 1.9. It pumps 190gph and is pumping at about 5ft right now. It's very strong, has flow control, built-in prefilter, and is very quiet as long as it is not touching the sump glass. There is also a 1.5 model that pumps at 140gph. Check them out.
