This is my ferocious protector. Aurora the old, once neglected and obese, but now just claims I neglect her if I'm not with her constantly or make her sit in the passenger seat instead of on my lap, Italian greyhound.

Love this girl to death. It's amazing the impact she's had on me, and girls I've dated, whom she didn't approve of! Let's just say Aurora's opinion super-cedes mine. Since she's always been accurate.

Resurrecting this thread made me think about my late English Springer Spaniel, Winston. She's been gone for about 3 years now and I still miss that goofy dog every day.

I'm pretty sure that never goes away. I have lost a few dogs whom I've never gotten over, one of them some twenty plus years later.

Winston was a beautiful girl!
