Hey Fellas.
So Ive used food safe Polypropylene tubs in the past as quarantines with no problems.
They are all marked with the food safe symbol, and PP 5.
Today I picked up a couple of tubs to use as froglet growouts and I am in 2 minds as to whether they are safe or not.
They are marked with PP but no 5.
To my knowledge the 5 simply denotes the resin content and whether its recyclable or not.
Ive scoured the internet to find out whether all polypropylene is safe, and if the abscense of the 5 is something to be worried about.
But havent had much luck.
Any info anybody could pass on would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Richie
