Sadly, the biggest threat, IMO, is not harvesting for the hobby but habitat destruction. While I agree that unsustainable harvesting can be detrimental I find it hard to believe that there is high enough demand for cryptic species.

Yeah, one of the last remaining locales for M. aurantiaca was recently burned away. So tragic.
