it will fit just fine if you get a big enough viv. last large staghorn i saw was about 36x36x24 inches in size. i bet with judicious frond removal you could keep one under 18 inches for a long time.
Yea those things get HUGEEEE. At a horticultural collection greenhouse at my school they have those things hanging everywhere and they get so big its scary.
I keep stag horns and they need to dry out between waterings or they will get root rot and die. I don't think they would survive in a dart frog viv for long. Also Superbums can get to be ENOURMOUS!!! It takes years though.

plus trimming the fronds isnt a great idea. By the time the larger fronds are formed, the smaller ones will be long gone. And as you can see from that pic, the shield fronds get massive. I wish people wouldnt give advice if they dont know the plant
