Planting medium

I have a mix of turface,pool sand, and fluval stratum...could i just use that for the planting medium? I know everyone uses abg(?) But would this work as well?

Yeah, but it's far from ideal for most terrestrials, and with the sand it won't allow for microfauna to travel through it well. Im sure it will work, especially if there's not much sand.

Mostly turface and fs....the sand is rather coarse so drainage would not be a problem at all

Not a problem....i don't really know the price difference of agb and this but we will see. The fluval stratum gives off nutrients so it should help the plants grow a bit....it also holds water a little bit...
