Found near La Gamba, CR. Flower was about 12" across!

Thoughts?

That is a Dutchmans pipe. Maybe giganteum

Agree...some species of dutchmans pipe.

It is an Aristolochia species but does not appear to be giganteum due to it's lack of having a "tail".

Oops! Got things mixed up. It is likely A. gigantea. Whenever we think of that species it is the form brasiliensis which looks different.
