pillow moss browning

i recently added some pillow moss to my tank. it was fine for a few weeks but i noticed it has started browning now. Not sure what is causing it, the soil is just cocobedding with a layer of a few inches of terralite underneath.

Is it always moist? Is it too wet? Does it get enough light?
