So, I got a pair of these guys from UE last November, who unfortunately turned out to both actually be guys. SMenigoz set me up with a couple of hopeful females, and they were all placed into a new tank together yesterday. The boys went from whoop whoop at dawn and dusk to non-stop whooping all day long. I got home from work today and saw what looked like amplexus in one of the huts. At first I thought maybe they'd just stacked up inside the hut going into crazy panic mode from the lab coming into the room after me, but it's been going on for over two hours now. It's definitely one of the males on top of one of the newcomers (who is a significantly larger frog). I was unaware of amplexus in darts, so was I incorrect and that's what this is, or is this some type of dominance display, or...? My apologies for the cell phone pic.
